Default Watering System Timers

Can anyone recommend a good timer for a watering system. So far, in two years, I have got through two Hozelink timers, at £35 a time. Although I have only used them during holiday periods and taken them indoors each winter, they do not survive being "plugged in" again. Last week before going away I plugged in the timer and it just filled up with water!

Grateful for any recommendations.

Thanks.

Jennie
Try looking at Galcon timers. That's the make supplied by First tunnels and my mate also has one in his tunnel which he reckons is the dog's B.........
He also had Hozelink problems
Not sure where else you can get them but LBS Garden Warehouse do them. I would imagine First Tunnels could help out too

Iv'e used a Hozelok timer for 4 years and never had a problem with it. My son keeps watch on the greenhouse but only to check that the timer is working and it's worked well although it take a bit of trial & error to get the running period right.

Got my Galcon timer a couple of days ago from easywatering.co.uk and am pretty impressed. Got it going twice a day at the moment as we are off on our hols tomorrow.

Thanks SR - that was a great recommendation.
