Whats the best watering can you've used? Im fed up of using the cheaper/medium priced varieties, and want a decent, good sprinkling variety that will last me ages. Advice please, along with £s and availability. Ta!

I think that Haws are by far and away the best. I've been making do with cheapos for ages but have just ordered 2 of their plastic cans, about £14.50 each, being delivered to a friend who will bring them down to us.TonyF, Dordogne 24220 -
Got to agree with TonyF, Haws watering cans are by far the best available. I have one of their 9ltr galvanised steel cans with a fantastic fine spray brass rose. It was expensive (getting toward £60.00) but should last almost forever if looked after. Go on treat yourself, you won't regret it.It is the doom of man, that they forget.Comment

I personally like the cheap plastic ones. They are light and I don't worry about leaving it at my allotment all the time. Plus the fact it's a nice bright colour, so easy for me to find when I've left it behind a row of plants! Mine has lasted a couple of seasons so far and I think that's pretty good for less than 10 pounds, including a rose sprinkler.Comment

I have one of the nice 8litre galvanised steel ones with a steel and brass rose for use in my garden, though it didn't cost me anywhere near sixty quid
Think I bought it from HomeBase or similar - there's no brand name on it that I can see. However it's pretty sturdy, as I've had it several years and leave it out in my garden in all weathers! I also have the Haws 1litre plastic can for watering seedlings.
On the lottie we use a couple of large sturdy plastic watering cans that my husband brought with him when he moved in with me - no idea of the make, I'm afraid! If I remember, I'll have a look when I go round to the lottie later today...Comment

I only use the cheap plastic ones as I am forever putting them down and forgetting where I put them - ditto most of my tools / knives / machete / secateurs. I use a 10 litre cheepo one with a big bore pipe and a rose if needed cost £4.99 the first one lasted 4 year's until the sun got at it and it fell to bits .
The replacement is to the same pattern but only go's to the plot in the car and come's home when used and put back in dark shed were the sun do's not get it should last me out..

A very nice delivery man has just delivered my nice new Haws 3.5L easy-reach galvanised watering can in green.
Surprised to find it came with an internal filter for the spout (bit of a fiddle to fit though).
Got it on-line from a poshly named mail order firm and it was £8 cheaper than direct from the company.
Tried it and it's great!!The cats' valet.
