Default Tomato Peeler

One of my favourite kitchen gadgets, found it in Lakeland, a bright red peeler made by Zyliss. I hate all that boiling water business to get the skins off tomatoes, with this thing it's really quick and easy to peel them. Unless tomatoes are really squidgy it works perfectly.

Thanks Sue, I'll have a look on Lakeland. Love gadgets that work. One of my own favourites is the thing that peels orange and lemon rind into fine strips. What do you call that thing?

I agree Sue, I was given one as a Christmas pressie, it even peels tomatoes without them disintegrating. Love it for soft stuff, but have my old one with string round the handle for the hard stuff.

Alice are you thinking of a zester? Has lots of little holes along the top?

I love Lakeland Limited....

Get all the catalogues and browse the website, just in case there is a gadget that I might need one day!

Mr OWG has benned me from visiting our local-ish Lakeland store as I spend too much money

I think I am a front runner in the gadget stakes, can't resist and a visit to Lakeland is always a financial disaster. Also here in Tunbridge Wells we have one of the biggest Kitchen specialists in the South East, an Aladdin's Cave, you wouldn't believe the gadgets and equipment they stock. My favourite, and even I didn't buy this one, is a machine the size of a meat mincer for the sole purpose of crushing poppy seeds...

It's amazing what you can get a gadget to do these days We just need one to peel grapes automatically and take the wrappers off the choccy bars now. Or is that two gadgets?
