Default Recommended Garden Bibles!!

any recommendations for the definative gardening book???

I have John Seymour's Complete Guide to Self Sufficiency which is brilliant and I now know how to shear a sheep and skin a bull. But I need a couple of others I think, especially biased towards fruit and veg growing.

Ta, Laura

Laura, have a look back thru the archives...do a search on 'books'. There've been several discussions and lots of recommendations. I totally like Carol Klein at the mo.

Another vote for Joy Larkcom and Dr Hessayon here. Those are the only 2 bibles you need.

Joy Larkham's Creative Vegetable Gardening and for newbies and still worth looking at later in gardening, Succesful Organic Gardening by Geoff Hamilton.

RHS Encyclopedia of Herbs as a more expensive read.
