    Makro MPC deal

    Hi all, not posted for a while due to health stuff but thought you might be interested in this offer that came through the door.

    Makro are offering 2x 100 litre Bowers MPC for £6, that comes out at £3.60 per 100L bag with the VAT- pretty good deal I think.

    To purchase in store you do need (or know someone that has) a Makro card though, but you don't if you shop online for some reason but then theres the postage- I couldn't access their website to check what the cost is for delivery cos it keeps timing out. Will try again later.

    but don't appear to have it listed

      Looks good value but the bags I had last year were very bad not good compost at all.perhaps I'll give them another chance.

        Anyone living in France should be aware that the Super U chain of supermarkets are currently doing 40 litre bags of compost for only 2 euros a sack, stunning value! And quite reasonable compost for potting things on.

          Sorry being really dumb here. Where is it on their online store? Was only going to see what the peat content was.

            Hi Wendy, when I put the post up I couldn't access their website. I've just had a look and can't see it listed either so must be in store only.
            It's J Arthur Bowers mpc which is sold as a reduced peat compost but I can't find an exact content listed.
            Offer is valid till 4th March.

                johnjohn just to thank you for the information, as I have purchased 8 bags the compost appears to be acceptable quality and as I mix it with soil and sand it it is a good bulking agent for my pots and baskets. Also I think the offer is still going as the last two bags I bought was the beginning of May.
                it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                  Was in at Makro yesterday and compost still on sale 2 for £6.99 there was a notice stating it was ending on the 12th. August
