  • Your Xmas Trees/decorations?

Too early for ours yet (apart from the advent calendar). Have found that if I put them up too early then I'm fed up with them by the big day which doesn't feel right. As a child we always put them up as soon as we broke up from school and so have never been used to them much earlier, even though OH would have done it by now if I'd been keen. There is a house near us that put a full blown light up nativity scene on their flat roof garage in early November and I think that makes me even more keen to hold off for a bit. I have been making felt robins through for a couple of weeks which will be hanging round the house in a couple of weeks

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

As we live in an old cottage with lots of beams etc, we like to keep it traditional so here is our Xmas home. Our tree is a real one and the decs are a mixture of old ones plus a new one we get every year. Our current tree is two years old and still going strong so it will be brought in soon and kept in our utility room so it can get used to the slightly warmer temps. Hope you like it!

It's a bit early for me too - my tree and decorations go up sometime between 15th & 20th. My Scandi family put theirs up on 'little Christmas Eve' which is 23rd, but I can't ever bring myself to leave it that late.

Wont be putting mine up until next week. Just a little on the early side for us.
