  • Your pet's favourite toy????

Our new kitten Hibou has decided she loves playing with one of Albert peacock's feathers!...fortunately it's not still attached to him! She wanders around with it in her mouth too

....BUT she's also nicked a tiny walnut sized spud from the box under the table and she spends hours flicking/rolling it across the tiled floor, then skidding after it.
Tis a joy to watch her

...forget all the shop bought ones we have- she got herself sorted!

...so- what's your pet's favourite toy??

I've got all sorts of expensive 'indestructable' toys for the Boxers....

    However, favourite toys are:
A cheap'n'cheerful sqeaky bone bought from a poundshop (no squeak left)
    Plant pots
    Empty plastic drinks bottle
A tea towel with a knot in it

Our cat's favourite toy is usually a glove that he will claw off your hand when you speak to him and then pretend to kill it like he would with a mouse, he's also carried it away in his mouth sometimes.

Another favourite is a slipper or when he's feeling particularly mischevious he follows you around the kitchen grabbing the bottom hem of your jeans or your socks

One of my cats always loved String - which was some long pyjama cord with a knot in the middle. She'd follow it everywhere - and even pull the knot towards herself and pounce.
Maisie likes a particular catnip mouse nicked out of the packing box as I was about to send them off for her cousin in Barnsley. It is sparkly and it gets found all over the house. It has just been joined by a lovely mouse sent to me by a Grape who was very generous - this one is made from natural materials and has a feather for a tail!
I always like to leave some cat bikkies in the bottom of a coffee jar with the lid off - good for training paw-eye co-ordination!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Plastic bottles and knotted tea-towel are faves here with our Pup, too! Oh, he also likes the Cat's tail - and, bless her, she sits there with her back to him, flicking it at him so he can play!

Ludo has two cuddly squeaky toys from past Christmases which he keeps in his bed - quite funny watching him place them as pillows. One is a chicken and the other a snowball thing (I will photo when they get washed in the week)

TRex has balls with bells in and a real fave is a little white sparkly mouse that came out of a Whiskas stocking.

Rosie (our dog) loves toys but only those that belong to someone else when we're out on a walk. If she can she pinches them so the other dog will chase her, which she loves. In the house she prefers empty plastic bottles, in the garden she loves sticks which she runs around the garden with. It doesn't matter how often i go round the garden picking them up & throwing them away, she just disappears into the hedge & finds herself a new one - generally the bigger the better.

Rosie's (pictured) is an old broken shoe lace.

Basil's is a large fish from the "willow" range and Poppy's is anything she can lay her claws on (even if it happens to be human).

Kali (African Grey) loves destroying nuts in their shells; peas in pods, toilet rolls. She doesn't really do toys, preferring to rip things to shreds

She had a few of these foraging toys, but she can do them all in about 3 seconds now: YouTube - kali gets her peanut

I have loads of rubber toys for Chester to play with when we are dogsitting for my daughter. He prefers a 2 litre plastic milk bottle filled with water - outside only of course! It's funny watching him puncture it and play about with it until it's empty, then he runs round the garden like a lunatic with it in his mouth.

They also like a plastic bottle with a coupe of different coloured pebbles in. Obviously the bottle has to be discarded as soon as it gets damaged, so they don't eat the stones, but it will give hours of amusement. Very useful if the owner forgets to bring a toy with them!

Hibou sounds lovely Nicos. My geriatric cat died last week (PTS) and I'm now really hankering after a new kitten. Still have two other cats though who might not be so enthusiastic.

These are the toys of my boy Brock, they all have a name and he will bring the named toy from where ever he has left it in the house when asked.
