  • Your Alphabet of plants

A little game for you on a wet and windy day

Can you make an alphabetical list of the veggies that you actually grow - and have one for every letter of the alphabet? For example,
    Asparagus
    Beetroot
    Carrots...............

No Goggling for ideas, just raid your seedbox for ideas.

Maybe do the same for flowers that you grow.

Or, if you don't grow much, a combined alphabetical list for any plants that you grow.

Doesn't matter if your list is incomplete, just put it up here and we'll see who has the most letters

See you later - I have a list to prepare

    C Corncockle
    D Delphinium
    E Escholzia
    F Frittilary
    G Geranium

Have used a few edible flowers to help me but everything included is grown and eaten although a few gaps so I must need more seeds

      Aubergine
      Beetroot
      Chilli
      Dwarf beans
      Evening primrose
      French beans
      Garlic
Henry (good King) - OK, but the best I could think of that I grow
      I
      J
      Kale
      Lettuce
      Mint
      Nasturtium
      Onion
      Potatoes
      Q
      Runner beans
      Sweet pepper
      Tomatoes
      U
      V
      Welsh onion
      X
      Y
      Z

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

The challenging letters are J Q U and X. Had a look at Suttons as they list everything by letter and there are no flower listings under these letters, and with veg only Q gets a look-in with just one entry - quinoa. No Z veg and only zinnia in the flowers
