I usually "relieve" my self on the compost heap.

This is where the 'No sh**, sherlock' comment really comes into its own, on so many levels.

They are using a hay bale and adding it at a later date to the compost heap. I found myself doing the thing I used to complain about my parents doing this morning - talking to the wireless! This method has been used for years.

I can only assume there was no news and nowt happened yesterday.

That's why we're here! Us oldies had to get our years of experience by living through them. With 'T'internet you can take advantage of other people's experience. That's what I do!

If you check the old threads Bigmall you'll see this was discussed way back at the vines inception and on a regular basis up til now. We even had discussions about the merits of mens pee as opposed to womens pee!

I remember someone (Bob Flowerdew?) applying 'recycled wine, beer and cider' to activate the compost heap. For the TV version he used a watering can.........
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Am I right in assuming that acidic liquids accelerate the composting process?.......I was thinking the likes of say vinegar as it is so cheap to buy.
