    Mee too
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Oh aye Have been since my first post I reckon! Something about having a bunch of mainly like-minded folk to natter to; even if there are minor disagreements on politics or whatever, you know that everyone here understands the obsession with having something you grew on your plate at dinner-time. And of course it's peopled by nutters who make you smile

With me it used to be Faceache that got my attention. I moved away from all my friends and family (twice) and although OITC is here as well as our two dogs it can feel a bit isolating at times. After a year here I have a different job and more of a life so here I am!

KCN, I have a different obsession with Facebook - all of my Open University pals are on there, and a lot of my family who are scattered to the 4 winds as well. I usually have the Vine open in one tab and Facebook in another

I am usually surfing on my phone Sarz so flick between the two. My family don't really do fb and I am getting fed up with the amount of drivel on it. Funny how when you develop new interests how reading about nights out and how wasted they got gets a bit boring.

I still love keeping in touch with my friends there however most of us don't have a common interest any more. Apart from a few

It's worse than that. I have The Vine open in one tab, Tw!tt€r in another, and F@ceB**k in a third. I love the first two, and have been forced to use the third as so many 'real' friends keep in touch there, that I've given in to pressure. It isn't 'personal' enough for my liking, and I try to keep FB separate from t'others. I've said before, that I don't like FB, and I still don't. Love the other two!

Addicted? Nope, not me. No way.

I've only been here a few days but I've been keeping it open and checking back every ten minutes since to see what new posts have popped up. I think I'm already hooked.

I don't do facebook, twitter or any of the other social networking sites. I'm a regular on here and on the NVS members forum(less so). I'm not addicted, honest I'm not http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...es/redface.gif . I just like a bit of virtual company on the days I can't get out to work over the winter,a bit of diversion from boredom, tangentisation from the reality of my mundane existence over the winter months. This isn't real. course it isn't. It's just a virtual gardening club innit?
