Nope, Suffolk doesn't seem to be as badly affected as other areas. I've had no bother getting to work in any of it so far, just needed to allow more time to drive slower.

Our company closed from Wednesday 23rd Dec to Monday 4th Jan, and so far this week we've been able to get in to work every day. I've heard Kent is due for quite a lot of snow tonight and over the weekend, so we shall have to play it by ear.

Could get to work as it's walking distance, if a bit slippy. However am on annual leave and stuck at home with a stinking cold.

I work from home so no problem. Mr H however can't get in. He is struggling with slow connections speeds to the States and is getting more irritable by the minute. Now I love that man to pieces but if he doesn't chill out I will turn him into a snowman!

I'm sure it's not as bad here as other places in the country, but I've made it into work every day this week. In 20minutes' time I'll discover if any of today's delegates can be bothered to make it in.

We've had a couple of inches over night, and its impossible to get out of one end of our road (steep hill), but the other end was passable, so we just took it steady and the journey took about 25 minutes instead of the usual 10.

We've had snow & ice on the ground nearly every day since before Xmas, but today is the first day the school has shut.
Most of the children live within 2 miles and can walk in, but the teachers are from all around, up to 30 miles away where the conditions are worse. Yesterday a third didn't make it, and that doesn't leave enough adults to supervise all the children, so the Head decided to shut today.

Mr TS works 30 miles away and has been struggling in every day. He could work from home, but it's a macho thing in his office, to see who has the scariest/hardest journey to work. He's only started taking a blanket and emergency food rations because I insisted.

He'll be setting off for Hull tomorrow I expect, for the footy. Thinks he's Ranulph flipping Fiennes he does

Couldn't make it in on Tuesday so worked from home. Decided to do the same on Wednesday as the carpark at work was pretty much unuseable and they were sending people home early both days anyway. Went in yesterday and it was still chaos. Am very glad I don't have to go in today as it's really not nice out. Am going to walk up to the allotment in about half an hour as I don't want to risk the car and want to check everything is OK although not sure if I'll be able to see anything.

Basically we were told that if we dont come in (from Southampton to Basingstoke on Tuesday) we will be either sacked or loose days pay. Thanks Justin King....
