In Yorkshire it means "something" - Summer'ts up ere. What is all this waxing lyrical tonight? You had too much of that coffee Jules?

Actually, I've just been corrected, "something" is "sommat" not "summer't" so I'm wrong again.

Then again, I do sometimes feel I'm the epitomy of Taff's definition of summer, supporting everybody else. All this rain is dampening my mood.

                  Summert sounds more Somerset.

So, 'they' lied....it's nothing to do with bright sunshine and temperatures well into double figures? Hmmmm....thought not. Building our hopes up - sick bggers.

                    Anyone know what 'summer' means?
Yes, it means warmer rain !

"Borborgymi" is the Russian word for the tummy gurgle - didn't know that there was a posh Latinised version of it, but I did know that Russian is supposedly the only language in the world that has a word for tummy gurgles... (you learn these things on the sorts of forums I go on!)
What I wonder is, what is the word for repetitive burping ?

It's time for a new 'word of the day' and in honour of our fascinating and colourful language I would like to put forward the word...hippopotomonstrosesquipedalian...which appropriately means: pertaining to extremely long words.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive
