  • Wine on offer at Tesco's

On Friday someone bought wine that was on offer it was originally priced at £9.99 a bottle but came up as three for £10. He bought 12 bottles and the total was under £40. Bargain or what. I dont know which wine or how long the offer runs for.

ASDA have had a " any 3 for £10" section in the wine aisles for ages. They change round what is included from time to time. The best deals are mostly Lindemann (sp?).....

Assuming It is the same offer as my tesco then it will likely be a new zealand sauv blanc called "wichita? cove".We could'nt keep it on the shelves last week as it was selling so fast.
Its great how the consumer's mind works sometimes.Start a new product at £9.99 then make it look like an error has taken place (buy 1 get another 2 for 1p more) and hey presto........stock gone!!

they had a car for sale at 8thousand pound and it didnt sell nobody touched it
so they came up with the idea of selling it at 16 thousand but you got one free and they couldnt get enough lol

                12 times £9.99 is £119.88
                3 for £10 times 4 (12 bottles) =£40
                -5% bulk buy=£38 in total

As a non white wine drinker i have no idea!
However it is from the marlborough river area of NZ and wines from that area are VERY popular.
Has Tesco made it to France now?

Tesco has been in Northern France for a while. There's a store in Cite de Europe. Mostly wine, but maybe they're catering for booze cruisers?!?

12 bottles would give you one heck of a hangover. Hope he's spacing them out, lol!

I haven't got any booze in the house at all, at the mo. How virtuous is that?

*makes mental note to add wine to shopping list*

Its been set at 10% for years and has a ceiling, not enough with electrical goods etc, we just about keep within the limit. Its time they increased the % and the limit most places now get 15 - 20%
