Me too, though I have been up and sorted some stuff in the greenhouse and given several more snails flying lessons.

Its easy - there's so much to do you don't know where to start - and the only way to do it is by sitting down and planning

I plan too much as it is VC.....

As my OH and I both come architectural backgrounds we are never too far away from a piece of paper and a pen when we start discussing anything 3 dimensional.

I have at least 4 or 5 plans drawn every year for my plot, and considerably more for the garden.

I do all my best planning on the back of an envelope. Its easier to describe things when you've drawn them. When this house was being rebuilt I was always sketching out layouts - my problem is that I can't distinguish between a plan and a section so my sketches are compromises between the two. The builders got the idea in the end!! I was their client from Hell!!

                Where's that then?

Let me know, and I'll be there now in a minute.

If you hurry, you can carry the 2nd 56ltr bag of compost up 50 steps for me!. I've just carried the first up and am recovering!

I'm on my lunch hour! Been down at the allotment all morning, weeding. And in half an hour I will be back down again if it doesn't rain. When I was working my lunch hours were shopping, walking the dog, paying bills, putting washing on, hanging washing up, housework, cooking - now I am retired I have a lunch hour when I catch up with phone calls, emails and the Vine.

Sorry, can't do Ferryside, too close to water. I might be a water baby, but I can't stand a hot bath.

ok, veggie bed raked level, sheeted over, sweetcorn, cucumber courgettes, pumpkins, marrows, butternut squash all planted through
AND i made a note of what i planted where (on the back of an envelope) so that when they all die, i'll know what i lost ....

now you lot get out there and do the same!

i've got to crack on with proper work what (in theory) should pay the bills ....

There's too much to catch up on and you can just stop and not know where to start. But today I gave myself a kick up the proverbial and have chopped onions for three hours. Now I'm having a coffe, then it's watering in the greenhouse and polytunnel plus tomato feeding. Then it's a late lunch followed by bed 1 weeding at the allotment. Then I may get lawns in after dinner. I'm shattered!

I made a dump run. Filled the van with everything I've been hoarding because 'it'll come in useful' and got rid of it.
Sown more courgettes, more runner beans, kale, and potted on a few tomatoes [some Black Krim, Black Truffle]. Watered everything in the greenhouse, moved the mace and the bergamot back into the greenhouse. I don't know why I bothered becasue there's a bleedin great hole in the door where one of the panes used to be

I did like the bit about noting everything down so when they die you'll know what they were
