  • Why would someone send a friend request to me?

............who's never even postedNo idea who it is, where they live or what they are about.
Its been sitting in my inbox for ages waiting for the person to post something to the vine so at least I would have an idea who they were.
If you are that person, please post a few replies and introduce yourself then I will gladly be your friend!

PS You could reply to this thread if you like!

I've had that too ... I've also had long messages in my inbox from people who never joined in the public discussions on the forums. One was after free seeds, another just seemed to want to chat ...

I think it is the online equivalent of the little girl who used to stand at the edge of the playground at school, and never did skipping or hopscotch because she was clumsy or someone didn't like her - but one day, she would quietly come up to you and lisp, "Will you be my friend ?"
They're shy ! ( I can tell because I was that little girl. Metaphorically speaking.)

            P.S.
            Intriguing!!!
Zazen - thank you for increasing my vocabulary. I always wondered what to do with the "e" so I've never used that word until now...I promise I won't inform on you to the Exclamation Squad.

Yes, but my activities are punctuated with other tasks - I am peripatetic. I moonlight with a second job on the Gratuitously Obfuscatory Detail.
