  • Who the (expletive deleted) is Alice

I haven't found god, I haven't found the end of the rainbow, nor have I found the reasons why my internet provider of the above name, refuse to give me 24/7 internet and phone access, the like of which I pay for. A tad frustrating I may assure you.
It came back on briefly, I called them to complain, was passed through to the correct department, and the link dropped out. 4 times in 3 days.
Been predominantly offline for the last 3 weeks almost, due to constant problems, which were eased with a trip back to the UK to meet the latest addition to the family, who is quite simply GORGEOUS!!

Came back to France, and whilst not quite as gorgeous as my granddaughter, I met a lovely lady.

I also met her charming husband. Nicos, your generosity was incredible, and thanks very much indeed. Your house is stunning too. I still feel bad you made all those things for me to eat and I didnt eat them, I'm really sorry.

To all the birthdays I missed, I'm sorry, please accept a belated happy birthday to you all, and Zazen, I'm just waiting for the Serpenta di Sicilia seeds to dry out and the seed parcel will be heading to you.
Janeyo, I will send you a handful as well for your guerilla gardening attempt.

Internet now seems to be back on, so stand by for more inane drivel.

Welcome back Bob. Glad to hear that you had a good time with Nicos although, I didn't expect anything different.
I guess you are eluding to the Smokey version of Alice The first time I heard it, we were driving through France and I nearly swerved off the road when it came on the French radio in the car
Hope you are able to show us a few granddaughter pics for us to coo over.

and yup- piccies of your granddaughter would be brill ( if she's half as good looking as you- she'll be in for a fun life!!!)

Flipping internet over here is awful isn't it??..I think mine is finally sorted- basic problem of box on house wall oxidized and neded new/better cable to post outside house ( took them 18 months to sort it out!)

I'm looking forward to ideas as what to 'do' with our house from you too!!!
( Bob and I own longeres - which are like Devon Longhouses- and they're a bit tricky with bedrooms and storage- his Avatar looks just like our house!!!)

Glad you got back safely xx

Must admit I thought of you first and wondered just what you'd been up to!! But Bob doesn't seem to be online anymore, so could be more problems for him - if so, deepest sympathies BLP, it's a right pain, but good to see you back and congratulations for the new family addition.

Welcome bob, I mean back, bob.

I've lost track of where you are now - are you en Francais, Blighty, or back in the empire of the Raj?

Wherever you are, good to have you back.

                            And congratulations again.
