    Who else has fallen over in this weather?

    Go on, tell me it's not just me

    When it snowed a couple of weeks ago, I managed to walk round town for over two hours, completely unscathed, then fell on my b*m about three feet from my own front door (I think I relaxed too soon!). And this morning I did the most impressive pavement slide, finally coming to rest full length, on my side and with my arms over my head, in the manner of one of Jane Torvill's dramatic finales. I just wish I'd had the presence of mind to shout 'tadaaaah' and take a bow

    Thankfully I didn't suffer anything worse than a few bruises and a dented pride

    Hope any other Vine fallers have also done it in comedy style and not received serious injury!

    I fell over a couple of week ago when we had the first snow 4 times in one day! Once in my driveway, once when I was out for a walk and twice on my motorbike as well. Had a big bruise on my left leg it is still here but fading slowly.

      When we had the first lot here a few weeks ago, I spent about 15 minutes trying to reverse the little red thing into the garage, up a reasonable slope. Was sooo icy I couldnt get enough traction to get all the way up.
      Finally managed to get in, got out the car, forgot what I had been doing for the previous 15 minutes and strode manfully onto the ice sheet previously disguised as the garage ramp.
      Flat on my arris, obviously leaping back to my feet to ensure nobody saw me, and straight over again.

          Yep, I fell over in the village High Street. Road had been gritted but not the foot paths. OH and I were discussing how to grit via the 'Great Escape' method (out of the bottom of ones trousers), when I slipped, tried to grab hold of a window ledge, missed, and ended up flat on my back. My poor bottom was very bruised for days.

              Fell down on the ice last week, didn't think I had fallen that hard but it hurt the next day. Fell over last night when getting a chinese meal for work - managed to keep the meal off the ground. Fell in the same place this morning - nothing more serious than a bruise!

                Yup - went down like a sack of cack on Sunday - on my way IN to a Pub for lunch! No harm done but sore arm for a couple of days

                  Best fall I did was a couple of years ago after I had walked home from work three miles in blizzard and thick snow. I slipped on the ice right in the middle of the road, between slithering cars, right outside my gate, watched by said drivers and my family watching out the window for me. Boy did I get up faster than I slipped down and luckily was unscathed. Vowed I would never walk home from work again and I haven't since. If I can't get to work without walking now, I take annual leave!

                      My work colleague didn't actually fall in the snow but after going into a client's house, we work in home care, she slipped on the ramp that goes from the lounge to the kitchen, it was wet from our shoes and the snow brought in by her little dog who has a cone on her head at the moment to stop her pulling at some stitches, she'd just been out the back and had scooped up the snow inside it! Thankfully no injury!

                        Mine was a 'nearly but not quite'. I walked 2 miles from work back home, was 10 steps from my front door when my neighbour collard me in the road. As I was talking to him I did a Torvill & Dean skid, slid...recovered it and ended up a foot from were I was originally.. but still upright!

                        Didn't realise my heart could beat that fast so went inside for a lie down as felt a bit light headed! Hmm....same effect as the beer at Xmas but cheaper...interesting?

                          Mine were a few 'wahey's but only on the really icy bit near the lottie; thanks to my MBTs though I just righted meesel and carried on.
