  • When did you become a grown-up

Why is that some people act like grown ups and others never seem to achieve that status.
Can you remember when, if ever, it happened to you. Or perhaps you have always been that way?

I'm still waiting. I'm hoping one day I'll wake up and that will be it a sudden realisation that I've grown up over night. I've got two kids of my own but I still consider myself a child at heart.

I'm 60 next year, but still don't feel "grown up". Still feel very nervous and unsure of new things, and love playing in the park with the grandchildren.

            Never have, probably never will.

Seems no-one will admit to being grown up then!

When I had first baby, I had to fill in a form with various details about baby girl, and one question was 'mother's name.' I started to write my mum's name down before I suddenly realised that it meant me...

I like taking the babies out as it makes me feel quite adult! I like organising little things for them, and I quite enjoy feeling like the 'grown up.' Although it does rather seem like I'm just playing at it!

I believe the difference is "men and women"

I revel in the thought that I need never grow up and it'll be normal!

I still sneak onto the swings at every playpark. Nuff said.

In some ways, I've been grown up too long to remember just HOW long (but probably about 34 years, a married woman needs to be a BIT grown up to look after the big kid in her life), in other ways, I ain't gonna!

Exactly how I felt and I still cannot believe that I am a real mum just like other mums. Perhaps I grew up a little when my own mother died. It felt so strange to think that I wasn't anyones little girl anymore.
