  • when can roots grow?

    Hi

I didnt know where to post this! I am digging out a vine from an old railway station flower bed and there are roots of a vine which is quite large.
I have dug most of them out, with one still left, which is close to a wall with cables close by.
I know some weeds can regrow from a small part of the root, but how about my vine which has large dark green leaves?

What sort of vine do you mean as this will make a difference to the answer. For example ivys grow as vines and are a right pain to get rid of but other things with the same growing habit are much easier. If you're not sure what it is then maybe you could post a photo to help people.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Can you describe the shape of the leaf? Does it cling to the wall with aerial roots?

It climbs up a 20 foot wall, the leaves dont have spikes, like the ones I searched for, but rounder leaves.

We really do need a photo YFS, there are so many climbers that it could be. Even ivy leaves vary in shape - as it matures the leaves change from having 3 or 5 lobes to heart -shaped. Are there any flowers on it?
Have a Goggle for ivy images and see if you can find something similar to yours.
