  • Whats the worst thing you've forgotten?

Still have 10 days to go out here, had my shower this morning and went to find my cotton buds to give my ears a good grubbing out.
Nooooooooooooooo. I brought the wrong container with me, and now I shall have to have plugged ears till I get home.
Cleaning my ears is about the most fun I have out here, and fills me with a feeling akin to ....to.... well I cant remember but there MUST be something I enjoy more.
Whats the worst thing you have ever forgotten when you've been away from home?

Now very very very homesick in Sudan

In 1976, my girlfriend and i went on holiday with half a dozen mates to the Norfolk Broads.
At one of the regular stops to re-provision, we unmoored and set off downriver. Someone else actually noted that my girlfriend was missing after about half an hour.
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

See, with the crocs and everything, I had the impression your life was a bit more exciting than this Bob!

I remembered in time to avoid complete disaster but we once set off on holiday minus my handbag
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

We forgot the tent pegs, arriving late in Cromer one day!
My mum forgot my eldest brother when he was a baby. she left him outside a shop and walked home - she only remembered she had a baby 2 hours later

Seahorse I would rather wrestle crocs daily than go without my cotton buds.

No handbag would have been complete disaster, forgetting girlfriend...perhaps not so much!! (Only speaking from my experience RR.)
I have often wondered if people actually did forget babies, as I'm not sure I ever did, but the proof is there.

I was attending a conference in Harrogate once (3 hour drive), got almost all the way there before realising I'd forgotten my case. Drove all the way back, and then got to teh hotel at about 10:30 at night.

Use olive oil to clean your ears - softens the wax.

My mother-in-law once forgot the dog. She got home after going to the shops and couldn't work out what was different. Hours later she realised that she'd left the dog tied up outside.

When I was 5 I got half way to school when the chill reminded me I'd forgotten to put on me knickers!
Never done that since I hasten to add!

I also have memories of my sister going to chapel once & bending over at the front of chapel for all to see she'd got none on!!
I forgot to buy a lottery ticket before we went on our honeymoon(made that hideous mistake at the start of having "set numbers"!)Got home to discover 5 of "my" numbers had come up!!:

I forgot a whole suprise weekend to Rome that I had booked earlier in the year. We should have flown out on Thursday and returned on Sunday. It was only when my friend called my mobile on the Sunday to confirm what time we needed collecting from the airport that I realised.

Thankfully the old girl has never found out what she missed.

We forgot to fly back from Australia once, about five years ago. We kept forgetting to check our tickets - despite having a sneaking suspicion that we weren't sure when we were flying back to UK. When we finally did, we realised that our flights had left the day before...UAE were wonderful about it though and found us seats the next day at no extra charge!

The upside is that we ended up still being in Oz on the Rugby World Cup Final day between England and Australia! It was great!
