  • Whatever happened to the future?

Nobody seems to talk about the future any more. Instead they talk about 'going forward'.

    I find this rather irritating.

Anyone else have an aversion to some of our modern expressions?

Do let us hear about your pet gripes.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Any way shape or form! Aaaaarrrrrggghhh! Why use all three ffs.

It's not rocket science/brain surgery! No, I know it's not, I'm not THAT stoopid!

    Upsizing/downsizing.

    I could go on...

At the end of the day we all need a level playing field, if only you could utilise some blue sky thinking, run it up the flagpole, make sure it washes it's face, then we could all hit the ground running and get all our ducks in a row. I know it's a big ask, it will take a paradigm shift but our USP depends on it. Now we've touched base, I'll expect you to push the needle and see you in the board room at 8.

          Keep me in the Loop.

          Think outside the box.

Who thinks them up, should be put in a loop, preferably round the neck

Tell me about it - we used to play Jargon Bingo when I worked for a corporate. The best thing about working for a corporate - is finding out you don't want to work for a corporate ever again!

And of course the gardening leave when you resign

well, seeing as i have issues [bless you] with escalating things to the next level, I think a more robust attitude would help.

...and why is everyone "on a journey" these days? And why is that journey always a "roller coaster ride"?
