  • What are you doing today?

I just wondered what everyone was up to today. Ive had a nice lie in till 8am (that's a lie in for me), taken Dexy for walkies, am now on my second cup of coffee and am watching James Martin in Saturday Kitchen. For once, I don't have any plans for the weekend (apart from a bit of housework and cleaning out the girls). I fancy making some chutney, so am going to look at the chutney recipies.
    What are you doing today?

ouch Zazen... takes ages to list if they're items you've not listed before....think you best get an urn of coffee... Good to make the most of the free listing weekend though

Putting up some Xmas decorations- and preparing a traditional Xmas Dinner for my French friends...
Hopefully will have time to get the outdoor tree lights up- but can only get 3 of the 5 strings of lights to work.

Lovely sunny/warm day here- completely different from yesterday... OH is chainsawing shorter pieces of wood for the new wood stove

Think I'll put on some Xmas CD's and try and get a bit more in the mood!

          Have a lovely day yourself!

Trying to sober up from last night's homebrew session

I'll have a wander into the loft later to get the xmas decos down but first I have to go for a walk to the local BATA for some chook food

It's my OH's 40th this weekend, and we have a heap of people coming to visit tonight... So cleaning and cooking will be done, this is just the calm before the storm. As a social-phobic non-drinker, the prospect of a houseful of drunk peeps is filling me with dread, so best get busy and not think about it too much!

Well, I'm supposed to be doing constructive things, like potting up plants, weeding, listing stuff on eBay as it's a free listing weekend. But what am I doing instead? Yup, sitting here, trawling the Vine, and drinking coffee instead!

The best way to list stuff on eBay, is to type it all out in 'Word' (other programs are available ) at your leisure, then copy and paste when you get the free listing days. Do I do this? Nope, not organised enough!

for me, today will consist of mucking out; cleaning out the chickens; taking No 1 son to be measured for a kilt for his school dance; taking daughter to friends for birthday party; planning crimbo gifts; making last minute xmas cake (for pressies as per idea on credit crunch thread); and if time (!!) making some blackcurrant jam from stock in the freezer.

oh nearly forgot - finishing off one of those fluffy scarfs for my step son's fiance and watching the X-factor of course!!

OH is working today, so got the house to myself. Hence lazy morning, drinking coffee & watching Saturday Kitchen. Trip to the supermarket for weekly grocery shop around mid-day. Then couple of mates coming round to watch the All Blacks vs Barbarians match. Perfect.

                          Your on!

At my 40th I was the only person sober, so I had to do the supermarket run when everyone else ran out of booze. Looked great in the Co Op in my party dress

Up late (8.30) got the washing on - diswasher too, took cat to vet for 10.30 - picked up bags of horse poo on the way back and loaded into boot. Dropped cat back home. Now I have to get to the lottie with the bags of poo before they stink my car out! So I guess the rest of the day will be lottie, housework, drying the washing on a rack over the bath and some Vine time!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
