They are rather offputting aren't they?
Perhaps try wearing sunglasses whilst eating them to change the colour of the whole plate of food?

I'm presuming those have the texture of oven potatoes rather than waxy?

I planted a small sample packet of waxy purple spuds in the Spring, but none of mine seem to have survived. Either that, or they are still under the soil!...somewhere!

Oh yes, I've eaten purple spuds with butter and would do so again any time.

Just serve them with white carrots and red sprouts and try to convince everyone that everything is normal and they need their eyes tested.

                            Purple veg is healthy too

I've grown Majestics and Vitelotte (both purple) and Red Emmalie. Maybe it depends on the soil, but in all of them, the colour was a bit washed out, even greyish in the case of the Majestics once they were cooked. They were all right, but nowhere near as good as you'd expect for home-grown potatoes. I haven't bothered since.

Cadalot, you might grow tasty ones with a good colour. I have a friend who loves them.
