    What should I do?

With my birthday money I ordered some beautiful yarn, two lots (not the same yarn from the Rant Thread) it came yesterday. I love it. It also came today. Confusingly, I now have two lots and this is causing dissent. I want to phone them up and say 'Hey, you sent too much' but the Bh says do nothing, wait for them to contact you.

    So, what do I do?

Is it from the same supplier as the yarn mentioned on the rant thread?

Phone & inform them of their error & ask when they would like to call in & collect it (at a time that is suitable to you ),the onus is on them to collect, not you to return it,chances are the cost that they will incur will not be worth the cost to them of the goods the have over sent.

It is their mistake, so as BB says it should be up to them to collect it, but suppose it also depends how guilty you'll feel if you keep it Jules. If you do keep it, knit it up, sell it and give the money to charity?

I had that same issue with some plants I ordered a while ago. I didn't get the first delivery so they sent out a new lot, then someone from the wrong address contacted me and said they'd been delivered there.
I rang the company and they asked if I could find a use for the extras and when I said yes they asked me to keep and enjoy them.
Probably it would have cost more for them to collect them than it did to let me keep them so everyone won.

I've voted to phone them. If you don't then it will prey on your mind, they might well say keep it, and if so you will then be happy to use it in whatever way you want. As others have said, it is their mistake so it is up to them to arrange collection at their cost.

Depends on the cost of the yarn.
Ring them they may tell you to keep it.

Be a good customer and call them. They will be so pleased (or should be).

Call them and ask for a reply paid package in which to return the wool. Give them 14 days to do so , otherwise you will "dispose" of the goods. Its up to them how they react but your conscience will be clear - and if you don't need the wool, why keep it?

Phone them, I always work on the principle that I should act in the way I'd want people to act to me otherwise I have no right to moan if people don't do what I want. As others have said, they may well tell you to keep it, has happened to both me and my mum in the past.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

It is worrying me. Having had my own business I know just what it feels like to lose stuff to dishonest people (although in this case, it isn't my fault that I have two lots of yarn) and small businesses are struggling for any sort of profit these days.

I shall phone them in the morning, put my mind and theirs at rest. I don't mind making the trip to the P.O. to send it back to them if they'll reimburse me.

I'd offer to send it back where they pay when they receive it. I couldn't not offer it back as I wouldn't enjoy it. But I can also see that sometimes it might take quite a while to get reimbursed.

Yes, I would do this too. Honesty is always the best policy in my book. I wouldn't feel "right" with myself if I didn't phone them to say what had happened. If you phone, the onus is on them, and they will most likely tell you to keep it. And the same as you, as long as they reimburse the postage then I would send it back if that's what they wanted.

If you didn't let them know then you would feel guilty every time you saw the wool - and it's supposed to be for something to enjoy!
