I liked the Pilates cartoons at the end of the previous thread.

      Curiously, our instructor often says,
"Imagine you are balancing a glass of wine..."

~ getting a smartphone, and LEARNING HOW TO USE IT ! At my age ! (now I know why all the kids are glued to theirs ... it's asbolutely brilliant)

Look what it can do to my puppy ...

Although, I think I may have to uninstall those Jewel games, or I'll get no work done at all, ever

Having the house smelling of the first vat of bubbling chutney.

So courgettes and patty pans, you thought you'd have a glut party while my back was turned did you? That should take the smile off your little scallopini faces

Having my contract at work extended until the end of December

That means that my initial 3 month contract will have turned into 9 months by the end of the year; and then there will hopefully be a permanent job going

Offers I've received this week that made me laugh!
From an elegant friend at least 20 years younger, after looking me up and down - "You don't do shopping do you? We'll go shopping and buy you some stilettos"
From a neighbour after I said I hadn't been on a train for years "When's your birthday, I'll take you on the train - as long as you pay half"
And the same neighbour when I told him I wanted to go on a boat upriver "I'll pump up my rubber thing and take you".
Then I collapsed, clutching my sides, tears streaming down my face.......

A friend getting an item at a bargain price, from a tight-wad, who, we all thought was going to want much more!

Walking down to the melon patch and being able to smell the first ripe one before spotting it.
