Getting on with a bit of weeding round the emerging bulbs in the winter sunshine. I really love these early harbingers of spring.

Kids enjoyed their New Years Eve shananagins and are home in one piece and without hangovers.
No hangover for me either... and a further week off work

Mr Snoop is making an attempt at decluttering. Three carloads to the tip so far.

I'd be happier still if another dozen carloads were to go (and that is no exaggeration).

A real feel of gardening again, things need cleaning and sorting, dug over and prepared. gives me a sense of a new growing season.

Plus the wife & I are trying for a baby in 2018. Hopefully going to be a big year with lots of excitement. fingers crossed

Best of luck when 'sowing your seed'.

Fourth visit to my lovely new dentist today to have the root canal cleaned out once again to get rid of the abscess infection she reckons has probably been festering for several years.

(So much for my old NHS dentist then - I did have a sneaking suspicion she looked at the x-ray upside down and drilled a perfectly healthy tooth, while assuring me that this bad one was fine).

Anyway, if no more pus appears next week, work proper can start on filling and crowning the tooth. Hooray! And I can say truly that this experience is the best I've ever had at a dental surgery (remember I'm old enough to have had my teeth drilled without anaesthetic as a child), and I quite look forward to each visit.

I am plotting holidays for the year. Hoping to go over to the island (even if it does mean my tomatoes will go crazy in my absence...)
