  • What is a Blog

[SIZE="2"]I would love to have a blog but am unsure how to get one? If I got one what do I put in it?

  • #2
You can make it about anything you want. People tend to blog about themselves, their interests and developments in their lives.

I'd have a blog, but to have one I think you firstly have to assume that there are people out there interested enough in you to read it. I'm not convinced I fit the bill.

You can do a Blog on here if you want to 'have a go' without going through the faff of setting it up on another site. Just click on 'Blogs' on the green band at the top of the page. Down the left-hand side there are options to add to your own Blog. Once you've got going, there's an option for people to read your blog posts from your Profile Page, or there's a tiny link comes up on each of your ordinary posts, underneath your 'Location'.

Here are the two most popular blog software sites.

        https://www.blogger.com/start

        WordPress.com » Get a Free Blog Here

They provide a place to 'host' your blog and the software to make it. Have a look at peoples blogs on both sites, choose one and go for it!

That doesn't stop most people, you only have to look at some of the drivel that people put on the lies of Twitter to see that

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thanks everyone. I want a blog because at the moment I feel anonymous. It doesn't bother me if some (most) people don't want to read. It will be there for those that do. I think I will be nosey and read some others first just to get inspiration.

That's what I did! I find it is a useful reference as I can keep growing notes and photos together and go back to see exactly when I did something last year.

It's something I keep meaning to start....not so much for other people but I think it would act as a good record, pictures included,of what we've done at the allotment & when...what worked & what didn't type thing.
I guess it's just an up to date techie diary!

Much the same as me - only trouble is I have trouble finding the time to update it.

Oh I did so love it. I can see now why your lady is LadyBean in those dark glasses. As for The Bean, the sprout of all things miraculous, he is gorgeous.

Bit of a Freudian slip there me thinks

On a boring note Blog is actually a contraction of "web log". I'm a mountain of useless information me.
