  • What was that all about?

    Funny thing...
When I woke this morning and went outside it was a bit chillier than usual, AND there was some white type of stuff on my car windows....
There was also a sort of mist hanging around....

I looked it up and apparently it is Frost.....who knew?
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

...and it's getting colder over the weekend!
no frost here last night- but it was very misty and it's only just clearing.

We are also due frost this weekend- just typical as my OH needs to concrete a small area outside

( I've just moved this thread to the General chitchat thread

I'm actually relieved it frosted here this morning - first one since my garlic went in and my broadies were threatening to flower!

woke up to our first real frost of the winter, what a change from last year with snow and -16deg,as long as my garlic gets a chill ,thats enough for me,they can keep the rest,we just want some sunshine this summer,as it finished and went dark in the 2nd week of august last year and only eased in the new year, the sun is out here now ,and it feels strange!!!!

OH was shouting at me this morning at 7.30am cos I'm blocking in her in on the drive, she'd already warmed her car up which didn't have frost on it. Mine however jack had attacked big time and took me 5 minutes to clear with a very poor new scraper. Ain't nature wonderful.

I love a good bit of frost, every season in its rightful place.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Frost is welcome as long as the rain and snow stay away.

My OH is a builder and says put antifreeze in the water 1:100 before you mix the concrete.
