And another thing; why don't they send fleets of tankers to Tewkesbury, suck up loads of flood water and unload it into the nearest reservoir.....or is that full?

I'm happy because my water butt is full and the grass is greener & my plants are coming along nicely (not veggies though for some reason, they seem to have paused growing in the last few chilly weeks).

I'm dreading it if it rains on St Swithens day though, don't think I can handle growing fish in my garden!

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

I actually quite liked the mental weather....not to be out in it obviously, but it was nice watching it in the greenhouse

I guess they must have based this on average rainfall all over the country because here, in the North West, it's been pretty arid on the whole, though when it did rain - it did so quite heavily.
As a river kayaker I watch the weather as closely as any person really could, always hoping for a late downpour to swell the river and increase the fun-factor, but it has only hit proper fun-factor levels once during April and that was mid-week.
S'funny because when I was an avid biker it rained most weekends, now it rarely does, in fact Wednesdays get more rain than any other day around here.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive
