  • Well Done T&M

We all seem quick to complain when things go wrong so I thought I might even things up a little.

I gave SWMBO my Thompson & Morgan voucher which she duly sent off with a cheque to cover the excess on the order. Today we received a letter stating that she had under paid and they could not complete her order.
I phoned their free phone and found out the cheque was missing and therefore had not been taken in to the calculation. The lady offered to investigate and call me back.

Only a few minutes later my mobile rang, SWMBO had returned from the shops so I handed over the phone to her.

The upshot 'the amount missing is to small to worry about, your order will be processed today, sorry for the problem you have had.' GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. And yes T&M will get more of my business.

If the lady from T&M reads this post thankyou for telling SWMBO what a charming man I am, but the folks here won't believe you.

Sounds like my mother in law. Sent me a note to accompany a cheque and then other letter actually with the cheque!

I recently bought some budded rhubarb crowns, except when they arrived the buds were broken. Oops!

Quick email to T&M advice email address about whether I should still plant them and whether they would recover (as it was probably Royal Mail who broke them, I didn't expect an exchange really)... Long story short, T&M are sending replacements free of charge but advised that they may still be ok.

I planted them and they already have tiny leaves, so are still alive and kicking, and will be joined by two "replacements" soon also.

                  Great service.

Its good to hear that there are still some companies with a customer service (as opposed to non-service).
I still dont buy plants from T&M because what they call a 'plant' is usually so tiny you need a magnifying glass to see them!!

Their plugs are pretty non-existant, I have to agree. Plus the postie didn't ring the bell last week, just left a card and I had to wait until after the weekend to go and collect mine. Pretty wilted but hopefully not beyond redemption.

Maybe I should have contacted them about the strawberry plants, but since those were a giveaway, rather than a purchase, it didn't seem quite the thing to do. I am fairly certain 5 out of the 10 will be OK, and maybe 1 or 2 more will survive.
