Default Weirdness- is it just me?

Following on from the thread a while ago about lunar gardening, I wondered if any of you use any other unconventional methods to give your plants/plot a boost?

I talk to my plants frequently, give them all reiki and energise any water/feed i use on them.

I have a friend who is planning on meditaing among his plants this year, he is also thinking of setting up crystal grids on the plot, I couldn't do this on the lottie as it would probs get nicked!

So how about the rest of you or am I alone in my weirdness?

I am often 'smiled at' when I mention guides, crystals, piskies (wot!) or fairies
I have a Moon planting calendar on my wall, I just need to find a Moon to plant
I talk to plants, not always what you'd say in front of ya Gran

Am I weird? Nope, it's them wot is weird

I always apologise when I have to cut anything, even when nipping out the side shoots on tomato plants.

I don't call it wierdness - just common courtesy. KK, on the other hand thinks I am completely barking

"I talk to the trees
but they don't listen to me..."

sang one Clint Eastwood in Paint Your Wagon

Just reading a book all about planting folklore from around the world. The interesting bit I've picked up so far is regarding moon planting - root (or below soil) crops plant on a waning moon and air (fruiting) crops plant on a waxing moon.

Will give it a try

I know a different version to that:
"I talk to the trees
that's why they've locked me away..."

When I plant a potted plant into the garden, I heel it in and say ' Gorw, you b*gger!' - and they do! Unsympathetic magic, that is!

Ever tried hugging a tree? My husband usually walks away muttering if I do this, but tree energy is AMAZING!

hahaha - Snowdrop will know, being 15 years RAF Police Dog Handler, in fact in days gone by he would have actively encourage pooch to do that.

Did you know that the Vulcan is the largest umbrella in the world? When Snowdrop was a young Cop that was his duties, standing under said big plane thingy in the rain with pooch on hand.

Vulcans? I thought they were aliens with pointy ears?

I'm a cynical bugger, not experienced "proof" of any of the things mentioned above, but that's not to say I don't respect that others have these beliefs - kinda each to their own if you like. Same as religion, I'm no believer, but I respect that others need or want to believe in something.

Maybe I'm too high up for any of these energies to reach me...
