  • Weird day

My sister-in-law died 3 weeks ago and her funeral was today. We lived next door to each other for 18 years and helped to bring each others children up. She was my friend, neighbour, my childrens auntie and the best Scrabble opponent I ever had. Her husband asked me to attend. We were all at the church but only close family at the crem. I was with the other attendees when I was asked to leave because my ex didn't want me there. When is he going to grow up? We've been divorced for 18 years but we grew up together and have numerous mutual friends. What is he going to do when one of our children gets married - boycott the wedding 'cos I'm there?

My OH and I left quietly and went back to our local. I get a phone call saying that I've won the raffle to blow up my old school - RESULT!!!!.

You should've stayed to make him squirm! At least you paid your respects to a dear friend.

Unfortunately, some people never grow up. Can you arrange for your ex to be in the School when you blow it up?

Awful behaviour, but at least you have the knowledge that you behaved well. Love the blowing up thing

How selfish! If he had any respect for your sister-in-law he would have put his own feelings to one side. Obviously a self consumed egotist. Take comfort in the thought that your SIL knew you were there.

what a pathetic childish person to act so selfishly on such a horrid day. You acted with such dignity when you were grieving also. My heart goes out to you
