Not sure if anyone can advise but 2 summers ago (i.e. not last summer, the one before) we weedkillered almost of the garden because it was very badly overgrown etc, etc. The only bit we didn't weedkiller was our massive rhubarb.
Last year and this I have an older, not as nice variety regrowning that had been weedkillered. My question is this - is this rhubarb safe it eat yet if ever? I'm thinking chutneys and schnapps (I've had much more interest than I though - I should learn to keep my mush shut in future) so I can save the really nice HUGE one for primarily desserts and then chutneys etc once I've frozen what I need.
This may sound like an obvious question to most but it's the first and last time I've used weedkiller as I believe in just getting out there and digging it up (unless like when we were buying this place, the weeds were attrocious), so I don't really understand much about them..
Can I ever use this rhubarb? I nearly gave my neighbour a crown that had been dug up 4 weeks ago and was quite happily growing on it's own on the concrete (
) until OH reminded me we'd put weedkiller all over it some 18 months ago, oops
