  • The weather is nice and .....

I cant do anything in the garden as i have just been signed off for 2 weeks with sciatica and as i have only had 1 day sick in the last 4 years or so I am going to get quite bored I feel.

All I can say is put your feet up, and 'enjoy' as best you can. Its a shame when your signed off work as your ill, and can't do all the things you dream of doing when your hard at work feeling your best. Get a chair and a drink outside and enjoy the sun, and think ahead a few weeks when you'll hopefully be better, and able to do wonderful things in the garden

There are many causes of sciatica but as far as I know Doctors nowadays do not recommend rest as a cure for any of them.

Have a read of the net, and maybe talk to your Doctor again, then get out and do all the little light jobs you've been putting off !!

There is a wealth of advice and exercises on the net - just don't over-do it !!!

Painkillers are there to allow you to exercise so take them - it's the light exercise followed by a little rest that cures the problem.

PS I know that the last thing you want to hear at the moment is some idiot telling you to stop lying around but it does work!!

            Good Luck!!

I am a fellow sufferer and truly keeping going is the quickest way over it. It's a REAL pain in the bum, isn't it!

Get thy arris to your nearest Chiropractic Clinic. They will fix you, and you can then enjoy your next two weeks 'off' piddling around in your garden!

                  Annoying aint it?!
Ds had a little op last week and although he's all beter he has to be off school until hursday or Friday...meaning I don't get to the lottie, although we are going to take a wander up there in a mo to check for eggs.

                  Hope you feel better soon.

Ment to be getting some phsio booked in to help it, just had a potter in the garden and put a load of seeds in the propagator. Not doing to bad, the only thing i cant do is put my socks on yet, which is better than yesterday when i couldnt even put my underware on!
