  • watching threads!

I know there is a way to do it, but haven't mastered it yet !
How do you "watch" interesting threads, or threads you've posted yourself without searching back for them!! I guess its something to do with subscribing?? I'm not a wizz with forums etc, but I'm sure I'm doing it the hard way!
Thanks in anticipation of someone sorting me out!

No idea!!!!...didn't know you could...but I've not been a member for very long!!

I check through to see if there are little pencils next to the title so I can check for replies- if I'm esp interested , but have nothing really to contribute, I still put a simple comment on the thread as to highlight it for me!

      I'm glad you've asked- cos if there's a quicker way-I 'd love to know!!!

Yes, click on the thread tools and then click subscribe to this thread. You will receive an email when a post is made; assuming you have provided your email in your profile.

When you post a new thread or reply you should receive an email if you have set the thread subscription option which is viewable when you go to the advanced options. By default this is set to Do not subscribe, so you need to change it.

          Thanks! I'll have a go.

I've got the subscription sorted, and can see the lists in CP. No e mails though, I have provided e mail address, maybe I haven't changed the default thing correctly, although I have tried!

Emm...I've checked your perferences and it shows as you to receive an email for subscribed threads.

i'd check your spam folder, as they might be in there.

If a thread has a downward pointing arrow just before the title, it means that there are new posts. Simply click on the arrow and you are taken to the latest post.

I used to have it set so postings were listed in reverse; last ones at the top, so it automatically went to the latest - dunno why I changed it back really!
