Sit down, with a nice tea/coffee/horlicks and read Piglet Willie's blog. Or the Supersprout thread on the Growing techniques. Or Flum's blog. Any of those 3 things always give me the motivation to get out and get stuff done.

lol thanks nicos i may kill you in about half an hour ... well it worked a bit, the frames up .. and not too wobbly with some sticks down the pipes between the joints and plenty of duck tape ... doesn't look broke at all .... now i need a smidgin more cos i've realised that i need to dig up another 2 foot of lawn and the motivation legged it ....i did think about moving the strawbs (yes i know wrong time of year but if i don't move em there won't be anything left cos at the moment they are chook food) and building my fruit cage .... but to get the fruit cage up i also need to dig up 2 foot at the other side of the garden ..... although i could get the rotavator to do it ... but it might rain ...... well i put some big branches in the chook run ... brew anyone??

*wonders if 3 foot of lawn down the middle of the garden will look cool or stoopid?

Oh good, you don't need it now! That means I can save my enthusiasm for myself for when the squids go to bed and I have to go outside and do a day's worth of gardening in an hour before it goes dark - lol

You can have ALL my enthusiasm. Enthusiasm + Broken Toe = Extreme Frustration. And when I start feeling like that I...... go to chicken farms and buy more chooks (oh and forget to buy the extra drinker that we'd gone for in the first place).
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

If you can build that hen-house out of pallets then putting up a poly-tunnel should be easy!! Good luck!

nah the hen house was a doddle compared to getting strangled by plastic and beaten with metal poles and tied up with duck tape whilst trying to fend off 3 very 'helpful' chooks

did you get the chooks tho bluemoon?

anyway can't put it up now it's raining, chooks have gone to bed cats and dog asleep think i'll join em *goes to put kettle on and settles down for the rest of the evening

Sounds like a good plan! My enthusiasm was at a low ebb today too, but I did finish getting the greenhouse ready so I don't feel too bad.

think it's the amount of work involved that puts me off lol, putting up polytunnel no probs ... putting up polytunnel, digging up lawn, making it windproof, digging soil, transferring tomatoes from cloche ... yeah enthusiasm wanes ... why can i not have stuff to do that only takes an hour and it's finished?
