Looked out across my plot this am from the embankment (see photo on my page) and firstly noticed the heron fly away as he does each am and then noticed that 3 out of 5 of my new metal posts that i had put in to start my new chicken enclosure had gone! Why only 3 i thought? So i went down and took back the other 2 . Very upset - cant imagine why they would be nicked they are only worth a few euros each - am now having to rethink the moving of the chickens - might need to leave them in the garden......hope they dont turn their attention to the growing stuff -

Very odd. You would think that if they were going to take 3 they would take all 5, unless whoever it was, was disturbed during the daylight robbery.
Get them up and get a cloture on it as well, that'll learn 'em.

Not unless they're fencing in the humans No reason why they would carry them away I think.

Sounds like theiving toerags read Grapevine and they're moving over here - but as Nicos said, I'd have a word at the Mairie and also make sure everybody in the village/commune knows about it.

Do the locals play cricket Jardiniere?
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Exactly as Nicos said, I would doubt its locals, the communes are just too small to get away with stuff like that.
Cant see the sangliers running off with steak!!
