  • Visiting Buckingham Palace and Chelsea Physic gardens

The Garden Society have arranged a coach to go up to the big smoke and visit the garden at Buckingham Palace, and the Chelsea Physic garden on Monday.

Buckingham Palace should be looking splendid so soon after the Wedding, but I'm most excited about going to the CPG.

I had actually completely forgotten about the whole thing , but I got a late night call from the Society Chairman, last night, to make sure MrPB and I had got all our ID ready for Buckingham Palace.

I hope the weather holds out for us, and I shall post some piccies on our return!

I love Chelsea Physic Garden, really interesting to see the plants that medicine comes from

See if you can get to the Lambeth Garden Museum too (nice cafe apparently)

I like the way the link opens on the cafe page T_S!! ...unfortunately we're on a tight schedule on Monday, but I'll suggest it to the rest of the committee for another time. Thank you.

...and what a lovely day we had. It was blowing a hoolie, but the sun was shining. Unfortunately you can't take any photos at Buckingham Palace, so these are just some pics from Chelsea Physic Gardens, including the beehives, and the oldest fruiting olive tree in ...can't remember, I think it's England

It was a really super day thank you bb. The only down side (if you forced me to find one) was the constant 'rain' of Plane Tree seeds. They got everywhere and itch like crazy. My eyes feel like I've been in a sandstorm!! Bleurgh!

PS: The Tea shop was very nice, and I had salad, not caaaake - my doctor would be proud

True, but it would play havoc with my eye makeup
