  • Vintage Xmas photos...

I just wondered if any of you wanted to share a photo of you when you were tiny on Christmas day. If not of you, then of the tree or something festive.
( remember to ask any relatives before posting piccies of them)

I've no scanner at the moment but I thought I'd start the ball rolling with a couple of very old photos I found on the net....

I misread this tread as Vintage Christmas Potatoes - very confusing.....

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

When I were a lass, they didn't have a camera. My folks that is. They had actually been invented!

We were the same Flummery I've got 2 photos of me, first one as a toddler in 1956, next I'm a 5 year old on the stage at a holiday camp saying some rhyme for sweeties.

Oy Nicos, when did you sneak round here and steal my family photo's?

How old do you think we all are Nicos.
Afraid I am in the same age as Flum, so my parents didn't have a camera either.
I have one photo of me in my pram and the next two are of me at about four or five.
Obviously someone else took and gave them to my mam.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Unfortunatly after a row with my stepfather my mum burned all the photo's of us as children and loads of others as well. The only ones we have are later than 1974 or ones that my sister has begged off other people and had copies made. I do have one of my parents wedding day though taken on 18th December 1948.
