    The Vine or Me.

    That is the question.

    I can post on some threads but not on others, i.e. Dead Tumbler Tomato. When I click on go advanced nothing happens, if I write a reply in the quick box it will not post, I can also read my notifications without problem.

    Advice or thoughts most welcome as it is rather frustrating.

    I have no idea what's happening with it - it's happened a couple of times to me as well.

    I suggest you report it to admin and see if they do anything about it. You could send a PM to Hannah Anderson or fill in the admin contact form

    I'd wish you good luck in getting a response from them but I know it's going to take more than that.

      After a lightning strike over the weekend I'm using a phone hotspot to connect to the web - "what's the relevance" I hear you cry....

      Well, since the change in networking I've been aware that I'm having to login from time to time - I suspect I'm wandering away from my laptop with my phone - the laptop then connects to my router( which won't be able to connect to the t'internet till the guy from BT turns up next Thursday to fix their side of the network).

      When this happens with work-related websites I'll get a message about 'session expired' - but no such message from the Vine.
      I could be wrong, but I reckon its a worthy guess... doesn't quite match the symptoms you've described, but I'm giving myself 7 out of 10 for effort.

          So did I

          Is there a hardly noticeable thin line towards the bottom of your screen (where there used to be an ad that you could close by clicking the x to get rid of it) I used to have a problem where anything below that line wasn't acted upon. Not sure if this is making any sense but, try and scroll down the screen to put your reply higher up the page before you click on "post quick reply" or "go advanced" might help

            Sounds like Scarey could be right. You can click on buttons at the top of your screen, (notifications) but not at the bottom. Scroll the reply box up the page and try, try, try again......

                  Balders - I know it sounds silly but if you have windows 10 try holding down the SHIFT key belfore and whilst closing windows and keep it held down until the PC has powered down. Windows 10 can get it's nickers in a twist, BT sent me two replacement hubs after a local lightning strike and after a chat with an IT Support buddy I did this and it cured the problem.

                    Thanks for the idea Cadders but its effecting every device in the house - Win10, iphone, android, linux - orange power light on the hub5 and flickering red broadband detection. So far I've heard they're replacing junction boxes and routers to get people back. I'm just at the back of the queue

                    The 'below the line' thing on the site is weird - could well be that Potty
