  • Very Sad/Angry

Have just come back off holiday/visiting dad to find devastation on the lottie site - 50% of the whole has been badly vandalised.

I'm at the begining of the site and have had

french beans all ripped out by roots and canes snapped

Standard red currant and cherry tree kicked snapped near bases

    polytunnel frame kicked in

shed 'glass' put out and side kicked in

Most of my damage is repairable (except my lovely standard red currant), the cherry tree will live and I have french beans growing at home.

Other plot holders have had worse damage and they are on the whole a lot older than me except the Albanian lad who had all his corn snapped over at the base (I hope he catched them given what he's threatened to do.....)

The council bloke has said it's the worst he's seen in over 30yrs............so I'm mighty depressed and could do with some very effective curses - along the style of extremities dropping off!

This is the first time it has happened to me so words of comfort (and curses) please!

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))). How awful! The rotten ********! I'd want to strangle the little ****. Can the council not improve security somehow? Wish I lived closer to help you.

I can never understand wanton destruction, all that hard work, and at the peak of harvesting as well. There's not even time to replant most stuff for a crop now, I'm so sorry for you all.
I would recommend the following curses, because they aren't life threatening, but sure would make it a misery, especially if they had them all at once. You can always try all the ones we can't type on here too, just to vent your feelings.
May their nails grow inward on all toes at the same time, boils erupt continuosly (sp?) on the most delicate parts of their anatomy, and persistant hayfever afflict them whatever the time of year (revenge inflicted by the plant relations of those they destroyed).
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

              That's dreadful!
You have my utmost sympathy, I would be so devastated if that happened to me
              (((((hugs)))))
I hope that the council/police/local newspaper make a huge hoo-haa about it, and the culprit/s might be remembered as being covered in soil by somebody? Whether caught or not, I hope they get their come-uppance, and soon...

I am soooooooo sorry Rogesse. Every time I go onto my plot I think about that and am so relieved when all seems OK (so far....).We get quite a few kids (or older) making their way through the site usually running straight across people's plots - and that's when we're there! They also have to get through a huge bramble patch/hedge so it's not easy, but sometimes they use boards to provide a bridge. They've cut through the chain-link fence so it's quite difficult to stop it, but lately they haven't caused much damage. My heart goes out to you. Just remember it will all grow back in time. Big hugs. xxxxx

The little monsters (can't put into written word what I would call them!) I know what it is like as 18 months ago we had the arsonist and got to the point where I didn't dare leave the lottie and I was constantly on the phone to the firebrigade as someone elses shed went up! Thankfully it all went away but I know how distressing it is. Don't let them beat you as then they win! I can send you a red currant cutting to try and train - I know it is not the same! I just hope someone had a wasps nest on their plot and they disturb it when they caused all the mayhem..... multiple wasp stings ha ha ha

What bar stewards...........i wonder what they get out of doing something like this. i would advise building a 6ft high secure fence, like me, that'll keep em out. ((((((hugs))))) i know the feeling of having crops destroyed. xxx may they rot in hell.

That's just terrible Rogesse . I feel so sorry for you. I would be just devasted.
May they see the error of their ways, find something better to do with their time and find a way out of their mean, miserable lives.

I'm so sorry to hear whats happened to your allotment, its disgusting to think that some people feel they have to destroy other peoples hard work to try and enrich there own pathetic existence, its infuriating. I myself have just been at the receiving end of mindless vandalism and its devastating, heart breaking and very demoralising, but with well wishes from the lovely people on this vine and my family, I'm slowly moving on from it... There's still a lot of good people out there. xx
