  • Vandals!!!!!

One of my neighbours has just been to tell me that my shed on my allotment has been tipped over!! I've been to have a look, and sure enough, there it is flat on its back. No gales lately so it hasn't blown over. Footprint in the frost on the side of the shed, window smashed in, hole in roof (only a little one but enough to let water in). I don't know if anything's missing, I can't open the door - which wasn't locked anyway. I did have some sheets of glass in there ready for making cold frames, so that's probably smashed. Shelves probably smashed, garden lime and blood, fish& bonemeal probably spilled all over and mixed up. Why me? What have I done? No other sheds look damaged. Just waiting for the Community Police Officer to come and see me now, and hoping to be able to round up a few strong people to put the shed the right way up again, cos no way could I do that myself! What a wonderful start to 2009 and I had such positive thoughts for this year too

I've got a little vandal in my house ... last week I had both Little One and Niece to stay over. After they'd gone home, I found my duvet had been shredded by pinking shears.

It wasn't done out of malice, just boredom and curiosity. A lack of consequences (they get away with it because I can't prove who it was, and they both deny it) means it will probably happen again.

Sorry to hear about BOTH your instances of vandalism. In the case of Maureen's shed, probably nothing pinched either, just mindless destruction. They have negative lives - try and keep yours positive Maureen. It makes you so blummin' cross though doesn't it? Hope it doesn't drive you to The Evil Weed!

Thats terrible, and pointless. Hopefully the damage wont be too much and you can start again. I'm sure it wasnt anything against you personally, just happened to be your shed that got it.
Hopefully it can be righted pretty easily and you can sort it out.
Easy for me to say I know, but dont let it get you down.

What a horrible thing to happen. Did anyone else suffer any vandalism? Pity they didn't shred themselves on the broken glass. Can only offer cyber hugs and hankies.

Maureen that's a tough way to start 2009. Hope you can get it all sorted it out quickly. Definite hugs, wish I was closer I'd be round there with both shoulders.

That's just it, I don't know if anything has been stolen, I haven't opened the door yet, still waiting for the police to turn up. I'm going to have another wander down there and have a look in my compost heap cos that's where I "hide" my gardening tools since things were taken last year. I didn't notice a trail of chicken poo though, so the tools might still be safe under the heap Hammer, saw, nails etc were all in the shed behind the sheets of glass and out of sight
