  • Using your Christmas pressies yet?

Finally got round to using my Christmas 'smellies' assortment this morning - so I am scrubbed, polished and nurtured. It's all very nice, I feel smooth and relaxed and smell quite nice - just right for going to watch the rugby this afternoon! Only problem was the bath afterwards was like an ice rink, so I had to give that a good scrub too!

But the best bit was trying out a pair of exfoliating gloves - I wasn't sure about scrubbing off half my skin, but did think they'd be great for cleaning the Pink Fir Apple potatoes later in the year. Anyway, decided to give them a go - wow it's brilliant - just like when you start scratching peeling sunburn and it feels so good you can't stop.

So what's the verdict on what you were given? Anything brilliant you'd recommend?
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

My embroidered cloth is on a table- and one of my neighbours said "Oh- that's lovely!" ( well- in French obviously!!!!)

    Thank you my secret santa!
( I'd love to ask if you embroidered it yourself- but that would give the game away!!!)

My kitchen tools have been used on a daily basis (I love lots of wooden spoony things ). Haven't played with the tower block toy yet, think that's going to be a half-term game with grandchildren - and they'd better let me win!!
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

          Been using my bath smellies.
Have read the cookbooks and the veg books with undiminished pleasure, but will be using the Rachel Allan book to make crumpets shortly.

I was given a lovly christmas tree ornament so it was used straight away now its gone into the loft ready for next year. I have seen a few things I think will make good secret santa prezzies for next year and will keep too. They are mostly in the sales so will have to be quick and would suit male or female just got to decide what to get, might be over budget tho, who cares about that I dont. lol just dont tell lynda lol

I wore the super necklace my 'santa' made me all of Christmas day and several times since!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Out of my secret santa goodies; the sweet chilli sauce is all gone now, the jam has been used to sandwich some biscuits & on toast several times, and the ginger has been used in biccies All of it delish!! The seeds are finally in my seed box, and I'm especially looking forward to growing the cannellini beans.

My other pressies are great too, can't wait to use the Green & Black's recipe book my friend gave me... *Drools...
And my lappy has undoubtedly saved my sanity these last few weeks - Thanks Dad!!!

Used my smellies, ate my choc, thanks Secret Santa.
Thanks to Mum, I have my new slippers on, every year without fail (she always gets me the right size, but my sister's are always one size too big ), and the mushroom growing kit is (hopefully) doing its thing in the understairs cupboard. The rest of my pressies will have to wait until its warmer.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
