when you post to a thread, you set up your profile so that you automatically subscribe to them. Then, all you do is click on USER CP and you can see all the threads that you have subscribed to, that have been updated since you last logged on.

Why does my USER CP state that there are no Subscribed threads, then ?

If you go to options, and then on the default thread subscription line; it will have 'do not subscribe'. If you change that to another one, mine is 'no email notification', then it should subscribe you.

janna, i use a forum exactly like this for a craft hobby i have, so while i'm new here i know my way if that makes sense.

above your starting post of this thread is a 'button' called 'thread tools'. click on that and the bottom option is 'subscribe to this thread'. click on that and you will then be asked if you want email notification or not re posts on the thread....be warned, if its a popular thread you'll get loads of emails. normally i dont get emails. once you have selection that option and click 'add subscription' and the thread will then be stored on your 'user CP' which is located on the line with the 'new posts' button. whenever you visit, you just hit user CP and it will list all the threads you're watching if theres been a new post.

ETA, just sub'd to this thread to check my directions...lol!!.

Hi Janna - when I log on I usually go to New Posts - on the green tab above the advert. This will show you which threads have had a reply since you last looked (it's usually a lot but you can sift through the treads that interest you).

That way, If I've posted anything I can see if anyone's anwered.
