    I love it.

Hope it wasn't inspired by flooding!

Well we knew the Welsh are bonkers.....

(Perhaps this should be on that "other" insult thread!)

I previously suggested growing veggies in boats, moored offshore where they would be safe from slugs and snails. Did anyone listen? No..
Now, everyone's moaning about the little slimies.

If he grew stuff on his little floating island, I wonder if he would still get slugs

Chris!! What a thing to suggest, especially when I haven't made any dubious comments on this thread (yet). So your mind must be working on dirty lines this morning, not mine!
Don't forget this is always available for your insults http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ead_66183.html

Why would I insult a friend? I'm shocked that you think I'd like to insult you!

Well, I may visit the thread if these apples are bitter later on in the year

I wonder if you grew veg there and sold them offshore whether you would have to pay any duty?

I wonder how it copes with a force 5, my shed barely copes with anything and its fixed to the ground, maybe that's the problem.

Floating foundations, that's what you need - and I thought you were an architect!

That's what they use on oil rigs, it all depends on what your footings are, building on boggy ground is far easier than building on clay.

How do you think they fix oil rigs then?

It all works on suction, big tube suck the air out, build everything up off it.
