Default UK Style Gardens reminder

For those of you who have cable or sky, tune into channel 258, a double episode of Gardeners World is on tonight (Friday 10th March) with Monty Don and Geoff Hamilton at 9:00PM.

Just think that this channel had some good programmes amongst the pap makeover shows.

Gardeners world is on 258 at 7.30 monday to thursday. A different program each day. There are a number of GW slots each day on 258 but I haven't worked out which are repeats of other weekly slots. I'll just have to keep watching My other half makes sarky coments about GW. "Watching porn again I see!" seems to be the favourite comment at present.

Given the choice - Gardening Programmes, then Football, then Rugby then I'd put the radio on.

Football, Cricket, Golf, Wimbledon and Athletics always get put on the TV first in our house. We subscribe to all the sports channels as well as the Premier League Matches. The sport I could take or leave; but my other half played for the Army to a national level. Over the last nine years I have learned all sorts of useless information regarding sport and now can answer a number of questions on “A question of Sport” much to my disgust. Real Madrid, Man United and Celtic always seem to get the better of Alan Titchmarsh, Geoff Hamilton or Monty Don.

This is why I hate football, I work on the theory that the mind is limited, like an attic, and information is stocked up in boxes, learning who won the FA Cup in 1976, and who was in the team (I do love Palin's mick take of this in Ripping Yarns 'Golden Gordon') will inevitably push something useful out, like the ability to breathe. I really do hate football, oh how I loathe it...

I enjoy watching sport and I will watch some football - England beating Germany 5-1 now that was a good match. But in the last 8 days football has been on 7 nights and he has to watch the matches just to see the teams he doesn't like lose!!
