  • Typical!

We planted some lovely unusual daffs by the side of the road a few months ago where our cat Neo was squashed one night.
We've waited for them to flower and they were lovely....and when I drove past yesterday someone had dug up all the bulbs!!!

    Oh well...such is life eh???

Oh no!!! How mean! You must be gutted
Plant some more at home, you can have the memories there instead of the spot where it happened?

Thanks...To be honest once they had grown I thought it was a bit sad to drive past esp for my hubby who had to scrape him off the road with a shovel....maybe too much of a reminder??

We did plant some around the base of an apple tree we planted over him in the garden- so w have happier memories of him skitting around leaping up and down the other fruit trees and running sideways with his tail hooked at an angle

Yes I was gutted ( hmm..bad choice of word in the circumstances)when I'd seen what they'd done- but hay-ho...life moves on, and I think it served its purpose.
      ..still....flipping typical though eh????

If you replant you've got one up on them. They haven't defeated you. (Unless it really is too sad to drive past.)

Wouldn't dare plant bulbs on the roadside around here. The council would be sure to send the verge-mangler round just when they were in flower!

Is there any end to peoples badness?

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Nicos, that would be a major crime round here. Do you have any UK neighbours in view of what's happenbing to Acreman?

Sounds very odd to hear of that happening here - but look in people's gardens next year then badmouth the scrote round the village
