  • The Twelve Grapes of Christmas....

    OK- here's a challenge....

    I'd like you to come up with the reason why you should be named one of the 12 Grapes of Xmas..or can nominate another Grape to fill the post.
    It needs to be that you have one,seen them,done that etc and can be associated with that gift.
    I'll start the ball rolling by volunteering to be the first Grape of Christmas- because I have a pear tree, and only the other day saw my first ever partridge running out from my front garden!!!...OK....see what you can come up with

    The Twelve Grapes of Christmas....

    and a Partridge in a Pear Tree .......Nicos

    Obviously the competition will be fierce between many who can boast having had Five Gold Rings.....

        Can I be the second 'Two turtle doves?'

        I have two sitting in the tree in the front of the house as I write this.

          Well we just went to feed the ducks and there were many swans a swimming, couldn't count them as they kept a swimming

            I have 5 gold rings given to me by my OH - a plain band, a claddagh ring and a russian triple ring! I was a lucky girl.

              Well there are plenty of calling birds on the vine ..........so finding 4 should not be hard..........

                Please may I have nine ladies dancing, as this morning i took my daughter to ballet/tap (which was still open despite the weather) and watched them practicing for their exams next April - there were nine young ladies in her class...

                        My 11 year old niece has 6 chickens(no geese)but they all lay eggs she also has 3 laying ducks. They make her a tidy little income
                        So can I have 6 geese a laying please?

                              I have three Geese, not six. And they're not laying, for the simple reason, two are boys, and it's 'off season' for Geese this time of year!

                              That's the nearest I'm going to get, I reckon!
