Now that GW is back on a Friday and I've been re-enthused about starting this year's crops, are there any other Gardening programmes on TV?

Since the demise of UKTV Gardens where I used to watch old episodes of Gardeners World along with interesting programmes on veg and allotments, I now can't find any programmes at all about proper Gardening, rather than "makeovers" on UKTV Style.

I liked UKTV Gardens too, and feel a little lost. Wish there was a grow your own, make your own, cook your own channel - bees, chickens, copicing, brewing, preserving, growing, maybe even a little on nature, weather forecasts.etc.....there must be enough to draw on. even re runs of Gardeners World, Victorian Kitchen Garden, and the cookery programs.....come on TV bods cant you see what we are doing in our spare time?????

ps how do you spell 'copicing'??? as in the cutting of back trees for their sticks etc.

Coppicing, Headfry! And a group of them form a coppice. Looks odd because it is from the Old French couper to cut.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

The Big Dig was very enjoyable. In this age of allotment shortages and increasing enthusiasm for growing your own, I'm surprised that we only have GW and Beechgrove gardens.

I guess there are the BBC radio programmes too which can be downloaded.

Can we Southerners get Beechgrove Gardens? I just had a look on the BBC website and it says only available to BBC Scotland and not available on i-player?

It is available on iplayer when it's on Scottish TV. I think it will be starting soon, so look out for it then.

Just looked at website and it starts on April 7th. It's not warmed up much yet I guess.

Thanks Jeanied that's kind of you.
I love words but cant spell for toffee, it's such a pain, and I try so hard.
'They' say its because you don't read enough.....I love, and do a lot of reading - it makes no difference.
