  • Trouble logging in?

I've just had word from our IT guru that there was a small update yesterday so that might be why some people are having trouble logging in.

He has said to clear the cache and cookies, and it should work.

Failing that; please end me an email - with what the problem is and what is happening from your end - and we will get that to the guru and try and arrange a workaround.

To get my email details - go to the forum home page, scroll down to 'view forum leaders' and click on the email section by my name.

Hopefully; clearing the above will sort it out.

Other than the site had 'forgotten' all my login details - no probs here
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

      No probs here either.

This site is so well moderated. Another site I frequently use usually implies that the user is doing something wrong, not that the updates may have caused the hiccough

As I believed I was the only one that had a problem I made the thread Just what I needed but I now know I am no the only one. I have deleted temps and cookies but it has made no difference. I do not log out but each time I open GYO I need to log in again.

Bren - it was after your thread that I contacted Admin.

If you have to log in again, it means your computer isn't saving your login details - it isn't a problem with this website.

If people are having problems; and their caches and cookies are being cleared and they have shut down and re-started - and put their log in details in - and still can't get in - they need to email me.

I haven't had any emails about this so I'm guessing that once people log in, they can get here.

I had to log in a couple of times, but then ralised I hadn't ticked the 'Remember me' box! D'oh!

Haven't had a drink yet either!

Other than having to log in again, no hassles

I was a bit worried that I had to log in, I have trouble remembering my passwords but luckily I got the right one & remembered to tick 'remember me' so hopefully I'll still be able to get in next time.

The problem is sorted. I had checked 'delete all browsing history' on exit. So sorry to trouble you.

                      Now I read this!

I had no idea what my password was (the computer has a better memory than me), had five goes at changing it, got locked out.

Had another go this morning and no problems at all. Mind you, it could have had something to do with the amount of, er, brandy cream on my Christmas pud yesterday

Still have to put in my user name and password before I am allowed to log in no matter what I try.
